Burgeon Law Successfully Advises Swach Environment on Stake Sale to Veolia India

Burgeon Law acted as legal counsel to Swach Environment Private Limited in its exit from NANGLOI WATER SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED through the sale of its entire stake to Veolia India.

Swach Environment, India’s largest water treatment plant and a leading environmental infrastructure and services company, provides comprehensive solutions for water, wastewater, and solid waste management. Veolia India, a subsidiary of the French multinational Veolia Group, specialises in water, waste, and energy management solutions.

Our team, led by Senior Partner Ketan Mukhija, comprised Principal Associate Khushboo Jha and Associate Shorya Singhal, provided comprehensive legal advice and assisted Swach Environment throughout the transaction process.

Commenting on the role played by the Burgeon Law team, Mr. Rajesh Jain (Vice President, Swach) said:

“Your professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring our interests were safeguarded did not go unnoticed. Throughout the process, your team, comprising of Ms Khushboo Jha and Mr Shorya Singhal, demonstrated exceptional communication skills and maintained regular follow-ups with the counterparty. This proactive approach not only expedited the completion of the work but also minimized our involvement, allowing us to focus on other important aspects of our business.

We were particularly impressed by Mr Ketan Mukhija’s ability to handle complex negotiations and legal matters with such ease and efficiency. Your expertise and guidance were invaluable, and we are grateful for the positive outcome achieved.”
